FAQ

How do I get a starter horse?
Speak to Frey at Iron Hoof to learn more about getting your first starter. You'll need to have accepted the quest QUESTNAME with her and have set up an adequate area for your first horse. In the meantime, you can browse her selection of steeds in the 8 stalls around her. After this, you can contact a moderator who will inspect your area to ensure you're meeting our welfare requirements (hyperlinked). After this you'll just simply need to show them the horse you'd like and send over the correct amount of money.

How do I get my first property?
Locate Atlas at /warp Iron Hoof (immediately turn left to see his Estates store) - from here you can view potential new starter areas. You may claim one per player, to select an area simply claim it and fill out a form located in his building.

How do I earn money?
Growing crops and mining are both good ways to earn money. Planting wheat, carrots, beetroot, and other vanilla crops is a good way to earn money when you’re first starting out—just remember to save the seeds! Another good way to earn money is to sell your mined goods at the ‘ores’ shop. If you're looking for a more involved route, you might want to consider starting a facility or renting out one of our pre-made player stores in our town area.

How many animals can I have?
You are allowed a maximum of 16 per species of animal (e.g., 16 dogs, 16 cats, 16 sheep, etc.). You are allowed a maximum of 14 horses by default, which can be increased by supporting our server (HYPERLINK)! You can also get an increased animal or horse cap by owning specific facility types; however, the additional animal caps are only to be used for facility purposes.

What is Animal Welfare?
Animal Welfare is a vital part of our server that keeps players involved with their livestock and provides the community with lag-free gameplay. All players should abide by animal welfare standards, with the exception of staff members in cases like events, or server areas where animal welfare has been overlooked temporarily to provide players with a better experience. To read more about our welfare, please read here (hyperlink).

Why is my horse registry different to /swem info?
Our mod automatically updates. If the horse isn't rendered, it may not register an update for a while. Don't worry, though! Your horses are not glitched and can be manually updated if you're waiting a while.

How do I contact staff?
If a staff member is online and your issue is minor, please message them first. If not, and your issue is urgent, please ping an online staff member or DM one directly. If your issue is not urgent, please refer to our questions channel, FAQ, or ask another member of the server - our community is always willing to help!
