GENERAL INFORMATION & BACKGROUND
Originating from prehistoric cow breeds with a flair, the Mammantiquus merges traits of two specific prehistoric species:
- Syncerus antiquus (Giant Long-Horned Buffalo)
- Mammuthus primigenius (Woolly Mammoth)
This breed combines the immense structure of both ancestors, the long and impressive horns of Syncerus antiquus, and the long, woolly coat of the mammoth. The Mammantiquus exists to bring light to prehistoric history and to honor animals long extinct.
Standing between 26–30 pixels tall with a moderate-to-thick build, this bovine is considered a gentle giant. Its coat is long and fluffy with distinctive pink and white striping along the entire body. Horns are long, thin, and curled, giving the breed a striking and expressive appearance.
Mammantiquus cattle may be kept for meat, milk, leather, or companionship, making them a true all-purpose breed.
