Lag & Technical Support

Question Answer
Why is my game lagging? Lag may be caused by your computer, internet connection, game settings, nearby entities, or the server. First determine whether the issue is client-side or server-side, as each requires different troubleshooting. As a general rule of thumb, if you are the only one experiencing an issue with something, it is more than likely client-side.
What is client-side lag? Client-side lag affects only your game and may cause low FPS, freezing, stuttering, or crashes. Common causes include PC hardware, poor internet and high ping, demanding shaders/resource packs or rendering many entities in one area. Please disable any resource packs, modpack modifications, shaderpacks, etc before opening a tech support ticket!
How do I reduce client-side lag? Restart your PC, close unnecessary background applications, update your graphics and system drivers, check your internet connection, lower render distance, change graphics from Fancy to Fast, and disable or replace demanding shaders and resource packs. We recommend allocating approximately 6 GB of RAM to CurseForge, you may need to allocate more or less depending on your device and whether you're running things like shaderpacks or resource packs. You are likely to experience a significant FPS drop when rendering in horses/large volumes of entities - spread them out! Allocating excessive RAM may also cause performance issues.
What is server-side lag? Server-side lag affects multiple or all connected players. Signs include delayed chat messages, slow chest access, delayed commands, and issues teleporting. It is usually caused by sudden CPU or RAM usage spikes.
Why do animals and other entities cause lag? Every animal, mob, dropped item, and similar entity requires processing and rendering. Large numbers may reduce player FPS and increase server lag. This is why we have mob-farm restrictions, and minimum distances between properties. The Asheerah x MrFear resource pack renders more cubes on the SWEM model, so you'll notice an FPS drop around horses due to this, you can always turn your resource pack off during events or if you're not actively with your horse.
How do I report a technical issue? Complete basic troubleshooting before opening a Discord support ticket. Restart your PC, repair the CurseForge application or modpack profile, install available driver and system updates, and redownload the modpack if necessary. Include a clear description of the issue and any relevant crash report or log when opening your ticket.

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE LATEST VERSION OF THE MODPACK INSTALLED VIA CURSEFORGE WITH NO PACK MODIFICATIONS!
Are altered modpacks supported? We do not provide technical support for profiles with additional client-side mods. Revert to the default version of our modpack before opening a ticket! Any additional client-side mods are added at your own risk, we are not responsible for loss of assets due to bugs/glitches.

Known Bugs & Issues

Issue Status / Resolution
Tack clips through parts of some horses Known issue - not a bug. Some Asheerah x MrFear horse models have additional model parts, such as the Spanish nose, which may cover or clip through tack.
SWEM locker nametags move to the left side Known bug - no fix currently available. We do not recommend using these for safe storage.
Horse coat is incorrect or model parts are missing Not a bug -  Enable the Asheerah x MrFear Resource Pack and ensure you are using the latest modpack version.
Horse registry page is missing or incorrect Known issue -  First use /swem info while standing next to the horse. If the registry page is still missing or incorrect, open a support ticket with a detailed explanation and the horse’s coordinates. We are already aware of horse profile images not displaying correctly sometimes, this does not need reporting.
Sophisticated Storage items are empty after transferring servers Known limitation and item-loss risk - Sophisticated Storage items, including shulkers, do not transfer correctly between servers. Keep them in the world where their data was originally stored. Their contents may be permanently lost if the item is lost, placed, broken, or otherwise destroyed outside that world. We are not responsible for loss of assets if this warning is ignored.
