| Minecraft Terms, Accounts & Usernames |
Players must follow the Minecraft EULA and all platform-imposed restrictions. Mods, clients, or tools may not be used to bypass account safety features or similar restrictions. Each person may use only one Minecraft account; alternate accounts are prohibited. Usernames must remain appropriate, non-offensive, and non-disruptive. Staff may require a username change at any time. |
| Respectful Conduct & Restricted Topics |
Treat all players and staff respectfully. Bullying, harassment, toxicity, and abuse are not allowed within our community. Do not discuss politics, religion, non-PG-13 subjects, real-world tragedies, or other topics staff consider inappropriate or disruptive. Referring to any person, animal, mob, or other entity as a “slave,” including as a joke, is prohibited. |
| Appropriate Content, Swearing & Slurs |
Chat and all server content must remain family-friendly. Staff may stop conversations considered inappropriate or borderline. Usernames, nicknames, item names, pet names, signs, builds, structures, and chat may not contain inappropriate, offensive, provocative, anatomical, or bodily-function references. Swearing is not allowed, our chat filter may block any offensive words, phrases, etc. |
| Chat & Chat Language |
Chat should remain clear, please be careful when using excessive capital letters and such as it may make chat harder to read for other individuals. Chat must remain in English so players and staff can clearly understand it. Other languages may be used in private messages. |
| Spam, Sales & Advertising |
Do not spam messages, commands, characters, advertisements, job offers, or service requests. Leave at least three hours between all advertisements. This is including sales, facilities, “in search of” posts, jobs, services, and similar messages. The cooldown applies across all advertisements; advertising one thing means waiting three hours before advertising anything else. Do not privately message players with unsolicited sales. |
| Advertising Other Servers |
Advertising other servers is prohibited in public and private messages. Do not recruit or “poach” Canterlands players, use Canterlands as an advertising platform, or use the Canterlands name or player base to promote another server. |
| Griefing & Property Modification |
Do not destroy, place, move, alter, interact with, or otherwise modify another player’s property without permission. This includes builds, blocks, structures, decorations, crops, animals, and other assets on claimed, unclaimed, server-claimed, or expired properties. If it is not yours and you are not supposed to be there, leave it alone. |
| Stealing & Containers |
Do not take another player’s items, animals, or resources without explicit permission. This applies on every server (with the exception of The Outlands), whether items are inside containers, left in the open, claimed, unclaimed, expired, or located within a server claim. Unlabelled containers are not public. Assume you cannot take from any chest or storage container unless explicitly told otherwise. |
| Trespassing, Claims & Building Distance |
Do not enter another player’s claim unless it is an established public warp, or the owner has directly permitted you to enter. This also applies to expired claims. Being teleported to a property or receiving permission once does not grant permanent access. Do not build too close to inhabited or claimed areas, and follow all land-claiming, building-distance, and build-limit requirements in the Building and Claims information section. |
| Cheating & Unfair Advantages |
Do not use mods, hacked clients, software, hardware, physical objects, or other methods that provide an unfair advantage. This includes, but is not limited to, x-ray, autoclickers, unauthorised flight, fullbright, automated inputs, and placing objects on your keyboard or mouse buttons to automate actions. Alternative methods that recreate the effect of a prohibited feature are equally prohibited. |
| Freecam & Replay Mods |
Freecam and Replay-style mods may only be used for taking pictures, recording videos, and roleplaying. They may not be used to locate resources, inspect private areas, obtain hidden information, bypass restrictions, or gain another advantage. |
| Litematica & Schematics |
Litematica Forge is allowed, but Auto Place and other automated building features may not be used. You may not claim a schematic, build, or design as your own if you did not create it. |
| Bugs, Glitches, Exploits & Rule Evasion |
Report bugs and glitches to staff immediately. Do not use, repeat, share, conceal, or benefit from an exploit or unintended mechanic. Any method that bypasses a restriction, provides an unfair advantage, harms another player, or defeats the purpose of a rule may be treated as exploiting, even if the exact method is not listed. If it feels wrong, it likely is. |
| Vanilla Horses & Donkeys |
Vanilla horses and donkeys may occasionally spawn due to bugs in villages or previously loaded chunks. They may not be kept and should be killed when found. Any vanilla horse or donkey kept by a player will be confiscated. |
| O-Animals |
The only O-Animals from DragN’s Livestock/Pets that may be kept, where applicable, are Grubs, Caribou, Fish, Ocelots, Cats, Dogs, Foxes, Wolves, Birds, Bees, Goats, and Camels. All other O-Animals are prohibited, including chickens, cows, donkeys, horses, rabbits, pigs, sheep, and any species not specifically listed as allowed. Prohibited O-Animals may not be kept or bred. Kill them when found and discard their drops. |
| Boss Mobs |
The Ender Dragon may be summoned, however must be done in survival. The Wither may only be summoned in /server the-outlands. Players are responsible for any damage their Wither causes to another player’s property or animals. Boss mobs may not be kept on player property or permanently stored in mob balls. They may only be mob-balled temporarily while being transported to a safer location to be killed. |
| Mob Farms & Spawners |
Small mob farms may be permitted at staff discretion but may not be automatic. Mob farms are prohibited or disabled on home servers and should only be built in the Outlands. Spawner systems may contain only one spawner, may not be automatic, and may not be multi-layered.
Iron farms and any other farms that provide a significant advantage are prohibited, whether automatic or manual. Ask staff before building if unsure. Minecart systems are prohibited due to lag concerns, including farm systems, super-smelters, item transportation systems, etc. |
| Animal Housing & Crop Farms |
Animal farms, animal/mob housing, horse housing, and crop farms must remain realistic. Animals must follow all welfare requirements. Animal housing may not be stacked or built in multiple layers, including placing one animal pen directly above or below another. Crop farms may not be automatic, multi-layered, or stacked. These restrictions exist because of server performance and lag concerns. |
| Redstone & Automated Contraptions |
Small, simple redstone builds are allowed, including things such as lights, doors, buttons and other basic mechanisms. Redstone clocks, infinite loops, constantly firing pistons/dispensers, automated farms, auto crafters, or any other system that continuously runs without player interaction are not allowed - please also refer to all other rules in case of potential overlap. The “Crafter” block is blacklisted and may not be used.
Any redstone build may be removed at staff discretion.
|
| Nether Roof |
Glitching onto or remaining on the Nether roof is prohibited. If you reach it accidentally, teleport away immediately. |
| World Border |
The server is not responsible for animals, items, builds, or other assets lost because of the world border. Players/mobs may also take damage when near it. |
| Item Restoration |
Items will not be restored following client-side crashes, accidental loss, dropping, deletion, or other losses that cannot be independently verified. There is no reliable way to confirm what was in an inventory during a crash, and restoring unverified items could cause duplication. Players are responsible for protecting and safely storing their items, if it is important to you, we suggest it is kept in a secure container in a claimed location. |
