Welfare Help

Animal Welfare is a large aspect of our server for realism, roleplay and to prevent client/server side lag. It's up to players to ensure they're meeting welfare for all listed animals and horses.

We understand that some players may struggle with calculating areas and such to work out how many animals can fit into a certain enclosure. So the following is designed to refer people to the correct warp, and also help those with calculations.

Players may ask staff for assistance, however we do ask that players use some of the resources provided in order to calculate the areas of their own spaces, tools such as the Abacus and Tape Measure can be beneficial to players as these count for you versus manually counting the length and width of your animal accommodation. Please do not rely on a member of staff to check your animal accommodation - all welfare information can be found under our “Welfare” tab for players to view.

How many animals can I fit into my accommodation?

Animals as a general rule of thumb require space, food, water and shelter. We advise all players to provide grazing, as this does not typically need replenishing like unbound hay does.

To calculate the area of your accommodation, simply multiply the length and width of your area. (eg. 12 x 5 = 60)

To calculate how many animals can fit into that provided space, take the area and then divide it by the block requirement for the animal. For example, if I wanted to house goats, I would take my 60b area and divide it by 10 (10 blocks = 1x goat), leaving me with 6. This means I can house 6 goats at maximum in my area.

I would then multiply the shelter requirement by the number of animals housed.

If you are struggling, you can always make the length of your pasture the requirement for the animal type and then you know how many the pen can accommodate based on the width. For example, 16x1 (1 cow), 16x2 (2 cows), 16x3 (3 cows), etc.

We always advise players provide more space for their animals, just in case they have accidentally miscounted or misplaced animals.

/warp welfare

Our welfare area (/warp welfare) aims to provide players with additional help and an easy way to accommodate animals without having to physically build anything. You can find premade pens with area + shelter space already calculated for you, along with essentials like food troughs, food, bowls, etc for your animals.

Staff & builders may copy paste pens for you for the listed price, we have made these affordable so even newer players can access these to provide welfare for their animals if needed.
